We work with you, helping to find solutions for the most complex problems. We take time to build relationships with you, your staff, students and parents. Knowing your context enables us to make thorough assessments of your learners.
Our work follows a ‘plan, do, review’ cycle. We work collaboratively with you to create a shared plan, applying psychology to bring a new understanding to existing problems.
INITIAL MEETING
We will meet with you and key individuals to discuss concerns, what the issues are, where and when they occur and what may be influencing them.
From this meeting we prioritise a way forward and construct a joint plan of action.
FOCUSED ASSESSMENT
We will gather and analyse data from a range of sources to bring a clear understanding and focus to the problem.
This stage may include: - Work with staff - Detailed observations - Individual work with students over time
FORMULATING AN INTERVENTION PLAN
We come together to look at the full range of assessment information gathered. We collaborate with you to develop a detailed individualised learning plan.
We clarify any training needed to develop new interventions and help to devise methods to measure the impact of the support.
FEEDBACK
We ensure that we meet with all concerned parties, including parents, to provide feedback on the work carried out and to share individualised plans so that adaptations can be made where necessary.
REVIEW
Within an agreed time frame we meet with you and all concerned parties to review the progress and outcomes of the plan and to discuss next steps for support.
